Asian Art Awards 2023

The awards were held on the 21st August at the Doubletree Hotel. We were delighted to welcome Lyndsey Jackson the Deputy Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society to present the awards.

Best Show went to Baklâ performed by Max Percy + Friends (Philippines)
Best Performance – Eunji Lim & Eseul Kim for The Maids. Eseul is pictured with Director Eun Kyung.

Asian Arts Special Award: Wang Yue from Mother Courage and Her Children (Theatre San Tuo Qi). She was rewarded with a special commendation for her outstanding performance in the lead role. Wang Yue is pictured with Eszter Marsalko from Asian Art Awards. The show was directed by Zhao Miao. This is his tenth anniversary of bringing shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Eunji Lim from The Maids was unable to attend the award ceremony but she was delighted to be rewarded.

Best Performance Runner up – Elizabeth Gunawan for Unforgettable Girl (Elizabeth Gunawan and Saski Bisou with Created a Monster)
